Really starting to get the hang of GIMP though I still prefer Photoshop as it has many advanced features that automate things I have to do manually in GIMP. Still this Vlad wallpaper came out looking rather nice using only GIMP.

It's been awhile since my last Epik Wallpaper and even though there is a new champion due out within the next day or so I figured it was time to rehash an old work and update it. This new version has more skins and most importantly I attempted to create a rainbow effect of colors with the skins, hopefully the effect is noticeable ^_^

One of the first things I noticed about GIMP was I could not control click a layer and select everything on it. Thankfully after watching a couple videos on Youtube I found out you can right click and "selection from alpha" to do the same thing. Finally cool text returns!

Pentakill - finally with a lead singer!

While Mordekaiser and Sona have been long known members of League of Legends might rock band Pentakill you may not have known about the bands front man, Amumu. It seems that the band found the little mummy  rocking out in Asia over the winter break and have now signed him to be bands lead singer and all around bad ass. Rock on Pentakill!

Irelia Concept Art Custom Wallpaper

I always thought the Irelia concept art needed more than the plain grey background it came with so I came up with more suiting background for it. Irelia always seemed to be of an Asian decent so I ran with that, hopefully the effect works well.

My EpiK LoL Wallpaper

Placing 197 separate images into one massive image was a fairly big under taking but I think I managed it fairly well. I tried very hard to minimize the amount of overlapping. Could not decide on a background that I liked so I did three, one black, one white and one using the parchment image from pvp.net.

This image contains all champions up to and including Cassiopeia.

Custom Rammus Wallpaper

On the way to work I caught the tail end of a Slipknot song and the lyric "In my shell I wait and bleed" caused me to immediatly think about Rammus ( I suspect it's the shell ♥ ) so I came up with this little wallpaper. First time I am releasing multiple resolutions, the 16:9 versions seemed to re-size badly though, Rammus ended up looking a bit pudgy :(

Custom League of Legends Wallpapers

I have decided to start doing some custom wallpapers for League of Legends and figured that they really should have their own post.


This first one is just a really simple merging of the first two Pentakill musicians debuted by Riot. Mordekaiser and Sona. I flipped the stock Sona image and combined it with Mordekaiser, cleaned up the edging in the middle and applied an old Rock Font I have had for a while.

After Riot released King Tryndamere and Queen Ashe I decided that they should be in a wallpaper together. Here I have added the Queen to the base King image.

While other young yordles would play skip-step and make wreathes out of braided posies, Poppy was earning calluses and grease stains in her father's armor shop. Blomgrun was a well-respected armorsmith, and he named his daughter for the sprightly sounds that accompanied the sparks leaping from his ever-burning forge. He was filled with pride when she was first able to lift his trusty hammer, Whomper. One day, Blomgrun was commissioned to create a glorious helm for a Demacian general. Word of the charge was leaked to the Noxian High Command, and two of their best spies ambushed Blomgrun's caravan en route. Though Poppy escaped with the helm, she helplessly watched as her father was slain. Instead of fleeing home, she carried the helm to Demacia alone. When the Demacian general saw the grim determination behind the tears in her eyes, the general requested that the leadership of Bandle City appoint Poppy as the yordle ambassador to Demacia. Soon after, seeking to crush Noxus with her father's hammer, Poppy volunteered for the League of Legends
